Career & Life Management

Crescent Heights High School provides students with a 6 credit, full semester learning opportunity combining Career and Life Management (CALM) with a locally developed course Social Literacy.  The purpose of the 6 credit prerequisite is to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge of social emotional learning of our students, as well as the other dimensions of well-being.

The aim of senior high school Career and Life Management (CALM) is to enable students to make well-informed, considered decisions and choices in all aspects of their lives and to develop behaviours and attitudes that contribute to the well-being and respect of self and others, now and in the future. CALM is the core course for health literacy at Crescent Heights, with Social Literacy building on and going deeper into the curricular outcomes in the CALM program of study.
