Back to School Information

First Days of Classes 

Thursday, September 1st, 2022 - all day

We are excited to welcome new and returning students to our school on September 1 at 8:00am.  Students are asked to report to homerooms (lists posted inside the school).  Teachers and administrators will be at the main doors and in the hallways to help direct students.  Further information will be sent to families prior to the first day to help everyone prepare.

  • Period 1 - 8:00 to 8:48 AM
  • Period 2 - 8:50 to 9:38 AM
  • Nutrition Break - 9:38 to 9:43 AM
  • Period 3 - 9:43 to 10:31 AM
  • Period 4 - 10:33 to 11:21 AM
  • Lunch - 11:21 AM to 12:02 PM
  • Period 5 - 12:02 to 12:50 PM
  • Period 6 - 12:52 to 1:40 PM
  • Period 7 - 1:42 to 2:30 PM

Friday Time: 

  • Period 1 - 8:00 to 8:45 AM
  • Period 2 - 8:47 to 9:32 AM
  • Period 3 - 9:34 to 10:19 AM
  • Nutrition Break - 10:19 to 10:29 AM
  • Period 4 - 10:29 to 11:14 AM
  • Period 5 - 11:16 to 12:00 PM

Lunch Supervision / Healthy Hunger

Grade 5/6 students will eat lunch in the cafeteria from 11:21am - 11:41am. During the second half of lunch homerooms will go outside for supervised recess. 

Healthy Hunger : Information regarding Healthy Hunger is sent out weekly to parents through our Subscribers Weekly message.  Be sure to opt into commercial messages to receive this information (see below).  If you have questions, please contact the main office.

Assigned Teachers 

Student timetables have been tentatively scheduled, however, please note that changes are still being made at this time and that timetables are not entirely accurate until the first day of classes due to potential staffing changes. Please see the CBE website for more information on PowerSchool and how to get an account. If you have any concerns or questions regarding your student's timetable please contact the Main Office. Please keep in mind that any adjustments will be considered in consultation with teaching teams taking into account factors such as class size, learning needs and peer relationships.

​Do You Have a MyCBE Account? Have You Added Your Child(ren) To the Account?

Parents / Legal Guardians / Independent Students who have not already done so, must create a MyCBE account and add their child(ren) to the account to:

  • access your child’s program information (e.g., course assessments, daily attendance record, report card)
  • view your child’s learning using Brightspace by D2L
  • pay fees and request waivers
  • register for transportation and lunch ​supervision
  • book parent-teacher conferences
  • submit online school forms (required for 2022-23 school year)

You will need your email address on file at the school as well as your child’s CBE ID, which can be found on the:

  • SchoolEngage student profile, for families that registered their child using SchoolEngage.

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
