​Important Dates

We follow the CBE Traditional Calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.


The Alberta Government announced on July 21 that schools will be in Scenario 1 as of Sept. 1, 2020.  

The CBE's 2020-21 re-entry plan is subject to change as more information becomes available from the province. We will continue to update schools with more details during the next school year.​​

  • Nutrition Break - 9:38 to 9:43 AM
  • Period 3 - 9:43 to 10:31 AM
  • Period 4 - 10:33 to 11:21 AM
  • Lunch - 11:21 AM to 12:02 PM
  • Period 5 - 12:02 to 12:50 PM
  • Period 6 - 12:52 to 1:40 PM
  • Period 7 - 1:42 to 2:30 PM

Friday Time: 

  • Period 1 - 8:00 to 8:45 AM
  • Period 2 - 8:47 to 9:32 AM
  • Period 3 - 9:34 to 10:19 AM
  • Nutrition Break - 10:19 to 10:29 AM
  • Period 4 - 10:29 to 11:14 AM
  • Period 5 - 11:16 to 12:00 PM

Noon Supervision / Healthy Hunger

Half of all Grade 5/6 students will eat lunch in the cafeteria while the other half remain in their homerooms from 11:21am - 11:40am. During the second half of lunch homerooms will go to their designated outdoor zones. Please see the re-entry plan for more details. 

Healthy Hunger : will not be available this year. 

Assigned Teachers 

Student timetables are now available in PowerSchool, please use the web version instead of the app) Please note that changes are still being made at this time and that timetables are not entirely accurate until the first day of classes due to potential staffing changes and hub registrations. Please see the CBE website for more information on PowerSchool and how to get an account. If you have any concerns or questions regarding your student's timetable please contact Mrs. Muhlberger in the Main Office. Please keep in mind that any adjustments will be considered in consultation with teaching teams taking into account factors such as class size, learning needs and peer relationships. We will not be making any changes to these homerooms until later this month, except in extenuating circumstances.

Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​

​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
