Student Safety Patrols provide a valuable before school, noon hour and after school service to students using the intersections that cross 146th Avenue directly east and west of the school. This program is developed, supported and coordinated between the Calgary Police Service, Alberta Motor Association and participant schools. Deer Run School fully endorses this program through participation and expectations that students and families cooperate fully with the routines and regulations guiding the student volunteer patrols.

  • Morning: 8:05 to 8:20 AM
  • Lunch:11:48 to 11:55 AM  and again at 12:20 to 12:35 PM
  • After School Monday-Thursday: 3:00 to 3:10 PM
  • After School Friday: 12:30 to 12:40 PM

Patrollers are reminded to report to the patrol station by the office five minutes before their duties begin.
