Music Partnership
Discovering Choices has a partnership with the National Music Centre in which students are able to earn High School music credits while learning an instrument of their choice. This drop-in program, called Jam Club, provides free access to instruments and instruction from qualified musician mentors while also allowing students to make connections with fellow teen-musicians. No previous experience is necessary as the program works with students of all skill levels. Jam Club runs every Thursday from 3-6PM, October through June.

In The Lead is a valued partnership between Discovering Choices High School, Calgary Youth Justice Society and Cenovus Energy.
Socializing with Peers

Connecting with Indigenous Culture
Discovering Choices offers various opportunities for all students to connect with and learn about Indigenous Culture. Through community connections, outings, and both hands on and module based course work, students have the opportunity to earn credits while engaging in and learning about Indigenous cultures, histories and communities.
Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA)
Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is a student run and teacher-supported school-based group that works to create welcoming, caring, respectful and safe spaces for sexual and gender minority students and their allies in our school. We provide a safe, confidential space that respects diversity and fosters a sense of belonging. Our GSA serves as a place for students to meet, socialize and support one another as they discuss their feelings and experiences related to sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
