Attendance

Attendance Line: 403-777-6177 ext. 1.

Students are expected to attend school regularly and be on time for classes. Please phone our 24-hour attendance line above to leave a message if your child will absent or late. If your child is not in school when attendance is taken and you have not notified us, the school will make every effort to contact you to verify the absence. Calling the school before the time of the absence cuts down on many unnecessary attendance checks. Students who arrive late are asked to “check in” at the office before proceeding to class.

Early Dismissal

Students requesting early dismissal for medical or dental purposes should provide a note from the parent/guardian giving the date and time they need to leave school. Students will not be dismissed early without parental notification to the school.

In the interests of the safety of your children, it is most important that the school has up-to date telephone numbers for parents/guardians and emergency contact numbers for friends/sitters. If changes occur during the year, please contact the office.

Attendance Expectations at the CBE

We believe there is a strong correlation between attendance and effective education. The CBE Administrative Regulation 6020 - Attendance of Students regulation applies to all of our students, and outlines the responsibilities for students, parents and school staff.
