School Property

We take great pride in keeping a tidy school; both inside and out. We ask all our students to be good citizens by putting garbage and recycling where it belongs, and helping to keep our classrooms and school grounds clean.

Skateboards, Scooters, and Rollerblades

The use of skateboards, scooters, and roller-blades is not permitted on school property.  This equipment should be left at home, but if brought to school such equipment must be kept in the student's locker.

Substance Use and Gambling

The distribution of or active contact with illicit drugs, alcohol or inhalants, use of tobacco, tobacco related products (e.g. e-cigarettes, vapes, snuff, chewing tobacco), gambling and participation in games of chance for money or other items of value are prohibited, while on school property, at school events and on transportation to and from school.

Throwing Snowballs

Besides the tremendous risk of serious injury, the thoughtless act of throwing snowballs, whether at other students, pedestrians or motorists, conveys to the community a negative image that entirely misrepresents the student body of Dr. E. P. Scarlett High School. Students will face suspension or community service for throwing snowballs.
