Spanish Bilingual

The program is part of the International Spanish Academy network sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Spain. At Dr. E.P. Scarlett, the Spanish bilingual program will establish an environment in which both English and Spanish are used and constantly needed for purposes of communication, personal satisfaction and learning. Students will have numerous opportunities to learn and use the language in meaningful, purposeful ways to meet their needs, interests and abilities. In bilingual programming, the delivery of subject area content, language instruction and cultural information often occurs concurrently, promoting effective language acquisition.

Students who enroll in the Spanish Bilingual program are expected to make the commitment to remain in the program for their three years in high school.
