Science

In Science, students explore and investigate big questions related to the world around them. When students learn through the lens of science, they move beyond factual recall and develop the science-related attitudes, skills and knowledge needed to solve problems and make decisions. Students become lifelong learners through maintaining their sense of wonder about the world around them.

They explore, investigate and find out how things work in order to answer questions and satisfy their curiosities. Learning about science provides a framework for students to deepen their understanding and interpret the world around them. At each grade level, students explore topics related to: change; energy; matter; systems; interactions/relationships; forces; and diversity.

RT @yyCBEdu: Many students, staff and their families are @fortcalgary today commemorating the #NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation. We are proud of @Indigenous_cbe team members worked in friendship with others from @cityofcalgary, @CCSD_edu & more, who planned this event. #WeAreCBE https://t.co/U0cfNFymgY

RT @yyCBEdu: We are saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Flags at all CBE schools and facilities are being placed at half-mast in her honour.

RT @UsihChristopher: Even though there are no current COVID-19 public health measures in place that impact CBE schools, we continue to encourage measures to keep everyone safe:practicing good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette & staying home when you’re sick or feeling unwell. Thank you.#WeAreCBE https://t.co/2LE9GggocX
