Daylight Savings Time Has Ended
If you haven't changed your clocks back by 1 hour, please do so as Daylights Savings Time came to an end over the weekend.
Lockdown Drill on Tuesday, November 7th.
On Tuesday, November 7th, Dr. Gordon Higgins will be having it's first Lockdown Drill of the school year.   Lockdown drills, like fire drills are an important part of our emergency preparedness.  Lockdown drills are never a surprise.  Students, staff and parents will be informed about them when they occur.   To support the lockdown on Tuesday, the Calgary Police Service will be on site.
School Council
Our next school council meeting will be this Tuesday Novembe 7th at 6:30pm in the Learning Commons.   This is a change from the printed calendar which stated the November meeting to be held on November 21st.  
Remembrance Day Assembly
This years Remembrance Day Assembly will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:30am.   Parents are welcome to attend if they choose.
Fall Break
The Fall Break is new to the Traditional Calendar and will be occuring form Thursday, November 9th to Tuesday, November 14th.  There is no school for students during this time.   The school will be open on Thursday, November 9th, but closed from November 10th to November 14th.

Tuesday, November 7th:
2:45pm - 4:00pm:  Sr. Boy's Basketball Practice
4:30pm - 8:30pm:  Jr. Girls Play at Home
Wednesday, November 8th:
2:45pm - 4:00pm: Jr. and Sr. Girls Basketball Practice
4:00pm - 5:15pm:  Jr. Boy's Basketball Practice
Sr. Boys play at Bob Edwards School
2:45pm - 4:00pm:  Wrestling Practice
