Health & Life Skills

Through health and personal development programs, students acquire knowledge and develop skills, attitudes and habits that contribute to their physical, mental and social well-being.

The aim of the Health and Life Skills Kindergarten to Grade 9 Program of Studies is to enable students to make well-informed, healthy choices and to develop behaviours that contribute to the well-being of self and others and enable them to respond to the opportunities and expectations in the world of work.

Grade 7

My friends like me for who I am. I have a lot to offer! Grade 7 students become aware that they need to show more responsibility in their grooming, organization, study habits and relationships with others.

Grade 8

have an idea of what I’d like to do in the future. It is just a few years away! More than ever, your teen will see who they are and what they believe. They will begin to understand what it means to keep good relationships and make choices that help them a long way into the future

Grade 9

Who knew that my fun volunteering could help me get a job in the future! Students understand how their choices today have a long-term effect. Who they choose to look up to and which group they choose to be a part of play a role.
