One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Parent Society

Our Parent Society is known as the Pinnacle Parent Association (PPA).

The PPA organizes various committees which assist the school in running smoothly and efficiently. They also provide additional funding for resources and special events to enhance your child’s experience at Dr. Oakley. As many of our families have transitioned back to their community schools, we have PPA positions available that will need to be filled in order to sustain this council.

Meeting Schedule

These informal meetings are held on-line once a month from 6:30 - 7:30 PM   This allows our parents the opportunity to connect and learn more about the happenings at the school.  Please consider volunteering your time.  The following are the PPA meeting dates:

Thursday October 20, 2022

Vice President:  vacant
