Regular attendance and punctuality are required of all students by CBE Policy. Parents are requested to inform the school by calling the attendance line phone number prior to the start of the school day or by note if a student is to be late or absent. If sending a note, a brief explanation is requested. The office staff will attempt to contact parents at home or work if a student is absent and we have not been informed.

Teachers will follow up on noticeable absenteeism, while chronic absenteeism or lates will be followed up by the teacher or school administration. Referrals will be made to the attendance officer, if appropriate.

Lateness

We want to optimize learning time by using every minute of the day.  Students who arrive late are disruptive to learning for all.  We ask parents to ensure that students arrive on time.
