It can be challenging to manage complex home, work, and school schedules. After-Care, Before-Care, or Out of School Care providers can help by offering a safe and structured environment for your child before or after school. These services are not provided by our school or by the CBE, but operate out of our school building for security and convenience.
Child's Play Out of School Care Program
We are thrilled to be able to offer an Out of School Care Program located INSIDE Elbow Park School. We will be opening September 2023. Our program philosophy has always been based on PLAY and learning through play. Children will explore, create, design, engage, invent while in our program, all whilst under the direction of our trained playworkers.

When can I register my child for Child’s Play?
Child’s Play will open registration on May 23, 2023. We ask that parents contact head office tara@childsplaycanada.ca or louise@childsplaycanada.ca. We will send you a registration package that needs to be completed and returned back to us. Child’s Play uses a Child Care Software called aimyPlus in order for children to be accepted into our program parents MUST create an account online. Information on how to do this will be sent in an email.
How will I know if my child has been accepted into Child’s Play?
All families will receive a confirmation letter sent to their email which was provided on your registration package. Confirmation letters will be sent out 2 weeks after the registration date.
What type of care do you offer?
We offer flexible care options. Allowing parents, the flexibility to book and pay for childcare as and when they need it, ensuring needs of all the school community are met. If parents are looking for full time care this is also available 5 days a week.
Full Time Monthly Fees
- Full Time Before & After School care $580 per child per month
- Before School Care only $365 per child per month
- After School Care only (6pm Pick Up) $470 per child per month
- After School Care only (4:30pm Pick Up) $365 per child per month
Flexible Drop In Fees (1 – 4 Days a week)
- Before School Part time - $22 Per Session
- After School Part time - Full Session Until 6pm - $38 Per Session
- After School Part time - Early Pick up Until 4:30pm - $22 Per Session
Do you provide snacks or lunch?
Child’s Play does not provide snack or lunch. We will introduce fun Friday once a month from October 2023. Please ensure children bring snacks and lunch to get them through the day. Children are welcome to eat snack in our program before/after school.
What does my child need to bring with them to Child’s Play?
Children attending our program are asked to bring indoor/ outdoor shoes. We strongly encourage a water bottle and weather appropriate clothing. Children WILL take part in messy play activities! Playworkers will inform parents when such activities are happening. Snacks can be brought daily in back packs.
What are some of the activities my child will take part in Child’s Play?
Children will have the opportunity to take part in many different activities. All of our program planning is play based and based on the children’s interests. Your child will be encouraged to participate in many different activities. We will have different centres set up around the room so children can choose what they will like to do. Example of activities are crafts, STEM, outdoor play, life skills and physical literacy.
What if my child is ill?
It is important to keep your child home for the day if they are not feeling well. If you know that your child will not be at school or Child’s Play, please make sure to let the Play Centre Manager know. You can do this by emailing or calling the centre your child attends.
