Important Dates

We are a modified calendar school. However, due to the ongoing health risk of COVID-19, the CBE has made the decision to move all modified calendar schools and programs to the traditional calendar for 2020-21. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.

The Alberta Government announced on July 21 that schools will be in Scenario 1 as of Sept. 1, 2020.

The CBE's 2020-21 re-entry plan is subject to change as more information becomes available from the province. We will continue to update schools with more details during the next school year.

You can find the COVID Self-Assessment Tool (daily checklist) in the Government Resources section on the CBE website.

Fees and Waivers

School fees are due in September. Our only fee next year will be for Music Therapy and it will be $80.00. Transportation and other such school fees are not applicable in our school. Online registration and fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can log into MyCBE/PowerSchool to pay fees or apply for a waiver.

School Supplies

Parents are requested to provide the school with the following:

  • Box of tissues
  • Diapers (if required)
  • Diaper wipes (if required)
  • Bibs (if required)
  • Bathing suit
  • Swim towel
  • G-tube supplies as requested by the LPNs
  • Medications in their original containers
  • Lunch in a “ready to eat” state. Classrooms have fridges and microwaves to support food prep

All supplies should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Transportation

Current and newly registered Emily Follensbee students have been placed on our transportation tracking forms. Online registration is ongoing over the summer through MyCBE/PowerSchool for those families who haven’t completed that yet.

Registration information

Our school does not accept “walk in” registrations. Please contact Deborah Blayways, complex needs specialist at deblayways@cbe.ab.ca for questions about registration at our school.
