Medications & Doctor's Orders

All medications administered by the LPNs at school require a doctor's order and/or prescription. Please ask your doctor to fax a copy of the original doctor's order directly to AHS Pediatric Home Care. If a medication and/or prescription is not processed through Pediatric Home Care, the LPNs are unable to administer the medication to your child. This includes:

  • Antibiotics, medicated creams and/or sprays
  • Tylenol, Advil and/or other general pain relievers
  • Pediatric Home Care Office:   t | 403-943-1790     f | 403-943-1932

If your child is not a client of AHS Pediatric Home Care, the school requires a signed Student Health Form on file prior to the administration of medication. All medications and/or pain relievers must be in original packaging with dosage instructions. An EFS staff member, not an LPN, will be responsible for administering any medications and/or general pain relievers.
