Amy's Class

June 2020

Wow, it is finally June! These distance learning classes are almost done for this year. We are excited to continue working with our students and their families for the next month. Hopefully we will have more nice, warm weather so that we can get outside to do more of our learning. This month our focus will be on stories such as "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," as well as continuing to build our core words and fine motor skills at home. Please get outside and enjoy the nice weather as much as possible as learning is everywhere!

May 2020

Hello everyone! What a crazy few weeks it has been. Before the cancellation of classes, we were getting ready for spring and hoping for nicer weather after spring break so that we could do more learning and activities outside. Since then the staff and I have been busy planning, making resources, and trying our best to learn all the new ways to present our materials and learning online. It has bee quite the adjustment! I would like to thank all of you and your families for being patient with us as we learn these new things and come up with ways to support our students during this time. We are still looking forward to the nice weather ahead and planning activities that everyone can do outside together, to relax and learn as a family. Take care!

February 2020

Brrrr...It has been a cold start to the new yea! We have focused our learning on snow and snowmen for the month of January and we are looking forward to learning about friendship, love, and kindness in February! It has been a busy time in our class as we look at WordPower as our general communication system for our students. It will be fun and amazing to see what our kids can do! We wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!
