English Language Learners (ELL)

At Ernest Morrow we strive to help students feel more confident by:

  • Supporting the diverse ELL needs within our school.
  • Collaborating within the school in regards to ELL students including those with special needs.
  • Develop coursework for ELL learners.
  • Working with a variety of community immigrants and refugee-serving agencies.
  • Linking with high schools and other institutions.

Ernest Morrow ELL Centre offers transition newcomer programs for Level 1 (limited formal schooling) ELL students, Grades 7-9. Criteria are available which describe the students who would be most suitable for these short-term system classes.
