Please visit our COVID-19 page for the most up-to-date information. Our plan is subject to change throughout the school year as more information becomes available.

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the Education Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority. They are different from Parent Societies & Associations, whose main function is to raise funds for the school. You can find more details in the CBE School Council Handbook.

Information about the impact of COVID-19 on School Councils is available on the CBE website.

Welcome to the Eugene Coste School Council and Enrichment Society!

We look forward to getting to know you over the next several years and hope that you will choose to be involved in our Parent Council and Enrichment Society.  We believe that all people are important and bring unique perspectives, opinions and experiences to our group, and we encourage each of you to share your skills and have your voice heard.

The School Council acts as a bridge between school and parent communication, working closely with administration and different committees made up of parent volunteers.

The Enrichment Society runs the fundraising and works directly with the administration to fund projects and items that – you guessed it! – enrich the student experience.

Our School Council and Enrichment Society work together and collaborate to do the absolute most we can for all of our children.  We meet once per month from September to May (excluding December).

You are invited to attend our meetings as a guest.

Please sign in, sit back and observe what we currently have going on and what we are starting.

To learn more about our groups, including past and current projects, please visit our website and Facebook pages – Be sure to join the Eugene Coste School Council & Enrichment Society page!
