Dear Fairview Families,

All of the staff at Fairview would like to welcome our students and their families to the 2021-22 school year.  While we are back at school, we have students and staff that are new to Fairview, students that have returned from Hub online, as well as students who have returned to the familiarity of Fairview.  Many of us are concerned as to how the school year will go as we deal with the 4th wave of the pandemic.

Our students, families and staff are in a rush to get things back to normal but, we need to acknowledge that this will take some time and that we may never get back to what we assume is or was normal.  I can ensure that the staff at Fairview are working with the CBE protocols and the AHS protocols to the best of our ability to make Fairview a safe place.  We appreciate the patience and understanding of our families as we continue to flex with the times.

At this time, I would like to welcome the following new teachers to Fairview; Elyse Bly, Jacob Halle, Allyson Heggie, Aqeel Joseph, Stephanie Karbashewski, Larissa Lavallee, Joanna McCarthy, Sing Ng, Jennifer Paulson, Roya Pirous, Amy Swanson and Corey Taylor.    We welcome back from teaching Hub Online; Bryan Doerksen, Monica Levitt, Isobel McIntosh, Jordan Penner, Janet Strilchuk, Natalie Taub and Sara Therrien.  Our up-to-date staff list can be found on the Fairview website.

We will be communicating regularly with families through School Messenger.  Please ensure that your email and MyCBEAccount  are up-to-date and ensure that you have subscribed to school messenger.

Currently we have a few construction projects on site.  The main one involves the removal of heating/cooling system.  We strongly advise that students come prepared with a sweater as the school can be quite cool at times.

I would like to remind parents that our school doors open at 8:50AM Monday to Friday.  Students are to be picked up by 4PM Monday to Thursday and by 1:40PM on Fridays.  Students have been assigned entry and exit doors based on their homeroom location.

We look forward to working with students and their families for the 2021-22 school year.

Sincerely,

Therese McCoag
