Falconridge School was built in 1982 and serves the community of
Falconridge. At our school we believe that all children can be successful. Our
teachers craft personalized learning experiences that connect to the Alberta Program of Studies. We aim to
create a rich literacy environment where students develop necessary decoding skills based upon the Science of Reading. We want to create learning in all areas of the curriculum that are worthy of children’s’
time and attention. At Falconridge School we embed assessment to guide instruction and learning. We build strong relationships and want every member of our school community to feel a sense of belonging.
Falconridge School has 24 classrooms, a learning commons, a gymnasium, music
room, conference rooms, and several acres of school yard. A naturalization area
was developed on the east end of the school property to provide opportunities
for rich, first hand contact with nature. Falconridge School is involved in
several CBE initiatives including being involved with the comprehensive school
health initiative and the CBE Sustainability initiative. At Falconridge School,
we recognize the importance of connecting our students to the world around
them. We do this through field trips, extracurricular activities, and engaging
experts.
