Blue Days
Beginning at 8:15 AM until 8:30 AM each school day morning, a teacher is assigned to provide outdoor supervision. If you drop your children off at school before 8:15 AM, you will need to be prepared to supervise them yourself until 8:15 AM.
This expectation is in place unless there is a ‘blue’ day. A blue day is a day where the wind chill temperature exceeds -20° Celsius. On blue days, children are permitted to enter their entrance door and are supervised by their teachers in their classrooms during this before school period. You will know it is a blue day if there is a ‘blue day’ sign on your child’s entrance/exit door. During winter it is important that children dress warmly for outside winter play. Please see cold weather days for more information.
