First Day of Classes, September 1, 2022

The first day of classes for Fish Creek School will be Wednesday, September 1, 2022 starting at 8:40 AM. Kindergarten will be on staggered entry for September 1 or September 2 and information about which day your child will attend will be emailed to you in mid-August.

School Start-Up Office Hours

Our school office will open on August 23, 2021 at 9:00 AM. Office hours leading up to the first day of classes will be 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You are welcome to contact the office by phone to ensure someone will be available to assist as needed.

Lunch Supervision

Lunchroom supervision will begin on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. We will begin our milk program as soon as possible. Please contact our lead lunch supervisor, Pam Myhill, at pamyhill@cbe.ab.ca with any lunchroom related questions.

Assigned Teachers

You will receive an email of introduction from your child’s new teacher. This email will also explain instructions on where to meet on your first day of school.

We ask that you please register your child as soon as possible to allow us to plan for our classrooms and school start-up.

Our school office will re-open on Monday, Aug. 29 for registration.

You will notice that generic content on this page refers to yellow school bus information. As a community school, our students generally walk, or are dropped off at school. We did not have bus service in 2021-2022. If you believe you are bus-eligible, please follow the links provided in the section below.

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

​​​Do You Have a MyCBE Account? Have You Added Your Child(ren) To the Account?

Parents / Legal Guardians / Independent Students who have not already done so, must create a MyCBE account and add their child(ren) to the account to:

  • access your child’s program information (e.g., course assessments, daily attendance record, report card)
  • view your child’s learning using Brightspace by D2L
  • pay fees and request waivers
  • register for transportation and lunch ​supervision
  • book parent-teacher conferences
  • submit online school forms (required for 2022-23 school year)

You will need your email address on file at the school as well as your child’s CBE ID, which can be found on the:

  • SchoolEngage student profile, for families that registered their child using SchoolEngage.

​​​​Yellow School Bus Tra​nsportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2022-23 school year are created o​ver the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. Transportation continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.

Your bus stop location and time will be available in your MyCBE account by mid-August.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.
