Human Care 10-4 - 5 credits

This course is the pre-requisite for the Child Care 20 and 30 levels. Students explore human development from babies to the elderly. We look at various body systems and how an impairment can affect a person’s development. This course has a variety of hands on learning opportunities and we build our communication and team work skills. This course is offered at the Jack James Campus.

Child Care 20-4 -30-4 - 10 credits each

Students will complete their Child Development Assistant Certification issued by the Government of Alberta. The students work with the preschool program 4 mornings a week as a team and will have the opportunity to take on planning the activities for the children. This program can also be for students who want to work in humanity related careers, like teaching, nursing and social work. These courses are offered at the Jack James Campus and include a 5-credit workplace practicum.
