Dear Glenbrook Families,
After 3 wonderful years at Glenbrook, and almost 40 years as an educator, I have made the decision to retire. My last day of work at Glenbrook school will be June 30. The decision was not an easy one because of my deep commitment to Glenbrook, its students, its staff, and to the greater CBE community that supports our mission. My passion for teaching has not subsided, and my love for students has not subsided.
When I was appointed as Principal of Glenbrook in 2020, I was so excited. I had so many ideas and dreams for this school, and I am happy to say I have seen them to fruition. Having been here for 3 years, I have known many of the students and enjoyed watching them grow and learn over the years, building some very special relationships. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have served as an educator in CBE; in such a vibrant and supportive community; a community where education is valued as a top priority by students, teachers and parents alike. I am incredibly fortunate to have been a colleague to such extraordinary faculty and staff, and I am humbled by the fact that parents have entrusted a portion of their child's education with us.
Please know that my dedication and commitment will continue throughout the next 2 months, as I work with Education Director Michelle Howell to provide a smooth transition for the incoming principal. There will be a survey sent out to families and staff to give feedback on who will fill my position. Please take the time to complete it.
I want to thank you for all your encouragement, support and trust you have shown me over my years at Glenbrook. I am confident that Glenbrook will continue flourishing academic excellence for students in the years to come.
All the best,
Kathy Andrews
