Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Traffic congestion in the parking lot and in front of the school continues to be a major safety concern.

Parking Lot is Off Limits

Note that parents and caregivers must not use the staff parking lot to drop children off. Not only is this a safety issue but it is also in violation of school board regulations.

There are several safe drop-off zones around Glendale School.

  • The fence along 25th Avenue
  • South of the field entrance and the fence along Gatefield Avenue
  • North of the field entrance are both safe drop off areas for students

Please observe the “no parking” signs in the school bus zone.

In the interest of the health and safety of our children, when possible please do not leave your car idling for extended periods of time.

RT @MrsHaley828: One of our kids built this super awesome structure during connect time, so we decided to turn it into math fun! How many blocks are in the structure if you add one more block when building each column? For… 10 columns? 15 columns? 20 columns? https://t.co/klq3BERRi0

RT @MrsHaley828: For #TakeMeOutsideDay we celebrated our wonderful Alberta Wilds garden with an offering of tobacco to acknowledge and appreciate the space that provides us with comfort and curiosity. We then drew the plants we are researching for our science projects. ♥️♥️♥️ https://t.co/bBrdLuxxa4
