| Hello Lynx families, What a wintery blast we received this week! Our community spirit was incredible with all the teachers and students lending a hand to dig us out of all that snow. Thank you again to everyone. We hope everyone is keeping well and taking care of themselves. On Monday, many of our staff participated in the Future of Languages Symposium. Teachers from across the CBE gathered to listen to two Key Note speakers, Brian Keating and Jim Cummings, as they inspired us with stories of adventure and the endless possibilities of language learning to benefit the future. A special thank you to our own Mme Anna Whiteman who led a conferencing group of beginning teachers with “Tips & Tricks for Newer Teachers to the Profession”. Some of our other teachers participated in sessions offered by the board including technology skills, physical education techniques and art studies. Complementary Course selections Over the next week we will be asking students to make selections in PowerSchool around what complementary courses they would like for next year. Once we have completed a grade during class time, we will be sending out an email with instructions on how to see these choices from home. We strongly encourage parents/guardians to sit with their child(ren) and review these selections. We will be closing the complementary course selections at 9:00AM May 2, 2022 to allow us to begin planning for next year. The Alberta Daily Health Checklist is still in effect. Thanks to all who have done their part so that we can keep our school community safe and healthy. A message will be sent this afternoon with an update on athletics at George P. Vanier for the remainder of the school year. Footprints Dance and Digital Media School Residency Program Please remind your child to return their form for the dance and media residency. If interested, the presentation will be on April 26, 7:00 pm, hosted at the Haysboro Community Centre by Lise and Ron May.
