Dear Lynx Families,
I had the opportunity yesterday to join staff dropping off some of the holiday hampers that were put together to support some of our community in need. I can’t begin to tell you the joy and surprise in the faces of the families who received them. More than one recipient was reduced to tears (which led to tears in at least one of our staff members).
Before we break for the holidays, I want to take a final opportunity to recognize all of the students, teachers and families that make up the Vanier community. I feel quite fortunate to work with this community, and the fact that I have the opportunity to take a leading role is truly something I enjoy each day.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. We look forward to welcoming your children back on January 9th.

Next year Hybrid Open House for our Late French Immersion program
We are already in planning mode for the next school year! Our Georges P. Vanier Open House for our late immersion program for 2023-2024 will take place on Wednesday, February 8th from 6:30 - 7:30pm. We will have a presentation that will be shown virtually, and we are inviting families to come in person as well. If you know any students in grade 6 who are interested in the Late French Immersion program, please pass along this message to any friends/family who may be interested. We will be visiting some of our grade 6 feeder schools in January.
