Illness at School

When a student becomes ill at school, he or she should notify the classroom teacher, who will send or take the student to the office. If the student appears to be seriously ill, the parents will be notified and the student will be allowed to go home accompanied, preferably, by the parent.

Under NO circumstances should a student who is ill remain in the washroom without contacting the office. Students not able to remain in class must report to the office. If they are too ill to return to class, the best and safest place is at home.

Allergies

A number of our students have a potentially life-threatening allergy to peanut and tree nuts. Parents of children with allergies must fill out appropriate forms (also available in the office) and ensure the school has the necessary medication on-hand should a reaction occur. We ask that parents who are sending in classroom treats, please avoid tree nuts including peanuts.
