Grade 7, 8 and 9 students at Georges P. Vanier will be involved in a hands on, activity based program.

Students will be assessed using the following stems:

• Understands and makes connections between concepts
• Analyzes and solves problems through scientific reasoning
• Develops skills for inquiry and communication
• Explores scientific events and issues in society and the environment

Processing skills, math and technology are integrated into each of these units where appropriate. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a school science fair, during which top projects will be selected to present at the city-wide science fair.
