During class time (with teacher permission) and during the lunch hour, students are welcome to use the Learning Commons as a quiet area for working and reading. The Learning Commons plays an important role in the learning process of students. Its resources include reference books, non-fiction books, fiction books, audio-visual materials, a maker space and various technologies Most books are signed out for a two-week period; however reference materials are for in school use only.
Expectations
- Contribute to a productive learning area
- Keep any necessary discussion within the table area
- Keep area clean
- Food, gum and drinks are not permitted
- ‘Gaming’ is not acceptable on the computers
