Morning Safety Reminder
School starts at 8:48 am. Doors open at 8:38 am for Open Entry which gives students a chance to visit with friends and staff, and get organized for the day.  All staff are supervising inside from 8:38 – 8:48 am. For safety reasons, it is important that students do not arrive early unless they are with a care giver.

No students before 8:38 am.

Bus Zone Reminder
The road directly in front of the school is zoned for busses. It is unsafe to park or drop students in the Bus Zone. When a vehicle is stopped or parked there, the busses are unable to safely park.

No stopping or parking in the Bus Zone.
Free Effective Parenting Course Hosted by Hull Services
Ever wonder:
How to help your kids improve their behaviour?
To get your kids to listen when you ask them to do something?
What consequences are appropriate and how to use them effectively?
How to avoid melt-downs?
You are not alone.  Parenting is hardwork and complex but there are tools and strategies that can help you and your child have a more positive relationship and greater success.

Hull Services continues to partner with CBE to provide FREE, parenting courses through the Community Parent Education Program (CPEP). Valley View School will be hosting an in person course starting at 6:00 pm on the evening of January 26th. The course runs once a week for the duration of 8 evenings.  The benefit of in-person classes is that parents with children aged 5 - 12 can attend together.  The kids get to learn important skills in a fun and active manner in the children's group portion of the program.

Spaces are limited so register Now!  Parenting Program and Registration.pdf

Alien In-Line Skating
Permission forms went home this week for our Alien In-Line skating program. Please remember to send your signed forms back as soon as possible to ensure your child can participate!

There is a known issue with information appearing in your MyCBE account related to In-line Skating. We are working hard to have this sorted out and we will send out a message once it is resolved.  Thank you for your patience.
