Dressing for Cold Weather
As the season's change and the weather become colder and more severe, it’s important for parents and students
to remember to dress warmly. We all need to be prepared for the extreme changes in weather conditions that can occur in Calgary. Students need to have winter jackets, waterproof mittens, warm hats, and winter boots to wear on the bus and outside at recess. On very cold days, snow pants can help children stay warm.
Our school’s policy is that we have recess outside on most days. Outside recess will only be canceled when the temperature drops to below minus 20° C with or without a wind chill.
