Principal's Message

February 10, 2023

Dear Hamptons Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I write this message to let you know that I will be leaving The Hamptons School. I have accepted the position as the Principal of West Dalhousie School, and I begin there on April 3, 2023. I am honored to have had the opportunity to be the Acting Principal and work in such an amazing school.  What makes this such an incredible school is the staff, students, and the Hamptons families.  I feel like I have grown as a school leader in this position at the Hamptons. While I am terribly sad to leave, I am excited about my next learning opportunity.
I know that you may be worried about the next steps but please rest assured that your children will be well taken care of by the new acting principal and the incredible staff at The Hamptons School until Ms. Bradbury returns.  Chris Aylesworth will be the acting principal for April, May, and June as I transition to West Dalhousie School. Chris retired as a principal in March 2019 from Jennie Elliott School in Lakeview and before that was the principal of Sunalta School in Scarboro. As a teacher, he has taught in many K-9 settings and thoroughly enjoys spending time in classrooms and working with students. Chris and I worked together in 2021 when he was the acting principal at A.E. Cross School and I was the assistant principal. Our goal is to make the transition as seamless as possible. Chris is delighted to be coming to this wonderful school.

Thank you all!
Rhonda Williams
