Attendance

Attendance Line: 403-777-6860 ext. 1

It is important that you call the school's attendance line if your child is going to be absent or arriving late.

Phone For Safety

To help ensure the safety of your children, we ask for your support in our “Phone For Safety” program. If your child is going to be absent or late, please phone the school. The office list of absences and those reported by the teacher will be compared. If there are any unexplained absences, the parent or guardian, or emergency number will be contacted. In the case of late arrivals, the student must report to the office before proceeding to class. If you wish your child to be released from class early please send a written note to the teacher. Students cannot be released without the written consent of the parent.

Late Policy

Students who arrive after the entry bell and after classes have entered the school are asked to enter through the front doors and check into the office for their late slip. All outside doors will be kept locked for security reasons. Please assist us by using this late entry procedure with your child.

Telephone Use

The telephones in our school are used for conducting school business. We discourage the students from using the telephone unless it is urgent and a staff member has given permission. Similarly, all parent phone calls to children in class should be for
emergency use only. Please ensure that your child has been given after school instructions before they leave for school.

Attendance Expectations at the CBE

We believe there is a strong correlation between attendance and effective education. The CBE Administrative Regulation 6020 - Attendance of Students regulation applies to all of our students, and outlines the responsibilities for students, parents and school staff.
