The Learning Commons at Haultain Memorial School is the hub and the heart of the school. It is a flexible learning space and provides students with a place to create, experiment, practice, celebrate, learn, work and play.
Our learning commons includes a maker space area where students design, build and create, a quiet area with a fish tank and beanbag chairs where students can read and reflect, a technology centre where students can access laptops, iPads and Ozobots, and working areas where students can come to work, collaborate and learn.
Our library assistant, Mrs. Binks, is in the learning commons in the mornings to help staff and students access the materials and resources that they need.
