Students living in Hawkwood are expected to go directly home, or to a childcare provider, unless attending the Hawkwood School Lunch Supervision Program or an extra-curricular school activity. Students not in our lunch supervision program are asked not to return to school until after 1:10 PM and to remain outside until the bell rings.

Students in our lunch supervision program are not allowed to leave the school at lunch for safety reasons. Students who who are registered in the noon supervision program and are going "home" for lunch must be signed out at the office.

Please note that we are unable to provide students access to hot water, microwave ovens, or utensils so please ensure that lunches are planned accordingly.

Fun Lunches

Hawkwood School Council’s Fun Lunch & Booster Juice days are held one or two times a month. The program is completely optional and you are invited to participate in as many or as few of them as you wish. Fun Lunch is also a fundraiser and all profits made stay at Hawkwood to benefit our students. There are no forms to fill in, all orders are done online, simply go to www.healthyhunger.ca to register. You can order for the entire year, or one lunch at a time and pay with your credit or debit card. Once you sign up, you will even receive email reminders.

Allergies

Please be aware that students may have allergies to things like tree nuts and that these allergens should not be brought to school. Parents of children with allergies must fill out appropriate forms. See more on our Illness & Medical page.
