Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity to engage in conversation about your child’s learning. Parents/guardians and teachers are able to connect face-to-face and communicate openly about student learning, especially with respect to areas of strength and areas of growth. They help build and sustain respectful relationships that allow both parties to share information and develop strategies to support student success.​​​

Parent-Teacher TEAMS Links to join your virtual conference

We are planning a virtual conference using Microsoft Teams on Thursday, October 7 . Due to health restrictions associated with COVID-19, the conference will be online. Please do not come to Henry Wise Wood School because we are unable to hold large public gatherings. Thank-you for your understanding. Expect more news to be coming out shortly along with a link which will be emailed in advance for parents. You can always email your teacher at any time if you have something you need to share.

  • October 7, 2021  -  4:00 - 8:00pm.  A link will be emailed in advance to parents to set up their account. Please do not come to the school 
  • Conference manager will open on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 6:00am for parents to go online and book their 10 minute virtual meeting  - please include your students name, parent name and phone number in your booking , should there be any technical difficulties teachers can call you directly
  • Conference manager will remain open for booking until Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 9:00am
  • If you are unable to login or if a teacher is unavailable please use the contact us > our staff page to arrange a date and time that works for you and the teacher directly.

​How to Book a School Conference

  1. Log-in to MyCBE / PowerSchool​.

    If you do not have an account, follow the Create a MyCBE Account​ instructions.

  2. Click on the My School Conferences icon.

  3. Click on the time slot that is available and convenient for you. Ensure pop-up windows are allowed.

  4. In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.​​​​

​​Create a MyCBE/PowerSchool Account

  1. Go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on the “Create Parent Account” link.

    Important: the email that you are using to create your account must be the same one you have provided to the school. If you are unsure, please contact the school office.

  2. Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email. 

  3. After your account is confirmed, you can login to the system.​
