Dress Code

Dressed to Learn

Hillhurst School is committed to being a school focused on learning. Dressed to Learn for us means, that we choose clothing that is appropriate for learning in a school setting. Please support your child to make good decisions by:

  • Dressing them appropriately for the weather and for the learning tasks. (Being outdoors for Phys-Ed, field trips and recess often requires extra layers, snow pants, warm coats, mitts, head wear or rain gear.)
  • Choosing clothing designs that are respectable and appropriate for young children.

Indoor / Outdoor Shoes

In order to keep the school clean and safe, we ask that all children keep a pair of running shoes at school for indoor use only. These shoes should have light coloured soles. If students are unable to tie their own shoes they should have slip-ons or velcro straps.
