How to Register


Current Families Must Renew Each Year:

Please complete: The CBE Home Education Expression of Interest form, The Alberta Home Education Notification Form and your Home Learning Plan and email all three documents together to: Admin Secretary, Cheryl Burgess at clburgess@cbe.ab.ca  You will find all documents on the right-hand side of this page under, "Links" and "Resources."

You will receive an email either confirming your acceptance or declining your application within 15 days of submitting all parts between September 1 and June 15 when someone is in the office to receive the documents. 

New Families:

  1. Become informed about CBE Home Education by viewing our CBE Home Education Getting Started Guide and the Alberta Education's Home Education Website.
  2. Attend an Information and Learning Plan Session - See the bottom of the page for next sessions.
  3. Complete the CBE Home Education Expression of Interest form and the items indicated below and email all documents to Cheryl Burgess at clburgess@cbe.ab.ca  You will find all documents on the right-hand side of this page under, "L.inks" or "Resources."

You will receive an email either confirming your acceptance or declining your application within 15 days of submitting all parts between September 1st and June 15th when someone is in the office to receive the documents.  Space is limited.  Please note that complete applications will be considered in the order they are received.


Information and Learning Plan Sessions

Information Sessions for families new to CBE Home Education will be hosted online using Microsoft Teams and in-person at Windsor Park School - 5505 4A St SW. You do not need a webcam to participate. Children are encouraged to attend with their parents/guardians. 

Open House and School Tours at Windsor Park School -  May 25th from 10:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m.

How to Create a Learning Plan Session at Windsor Park School - June 1st from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
