“How can growth contribute to a world that is sustainable and resilient through understanding my responsibility to self, others, and this place?"

November 13th, 2022

Good morning and happy Sunday to our Ian Bazalgette families.  I want to start off by acknowledging the Remembrance Day assemblies that were hosted on Thursday.  Our students who were a part of the Remembrance did an amazing job of being respectful and sharing the tone and meaning of the day.  The performances by our dancers were wonderful and the singing by our choir was simply put inspiring.  Our grade 7 students created original poems and words of Remembrance that was thoughtful and meaningful.  I was very proud of our respect for the day and want to celebrate that with our community.

I want to wish our volleyball teams all the best this week as they head into volleyball playoffs our Senior Boys and Junior Girls will be competing for a divisional championship this week.  I know they have been working hard all year and I want to share that it was amazing watching our senior girls finish with a victory on Thursday with some amazing play.  It is always amazing to see how far these athletes come in such a short period of time.  Our next season of play is wrestling and I believe there are practices starting this week.

I hope that the fundraising announcement made its way home to our families from the Parent Council.  If you require more information that please let us know as we have a deadline approaching in regards to that fundraiser.  I also want to thank in advance the many volunteers that will be supporting the casino this week. These opportunities are greatly appreciated by us here as they do open doors for opportunities for our students in their learning.

Take care and stay well and have an amazing Sunday out there.

Terry / Jamie-Dee
