Good Morning, Ian Bazalgette families.
With our first two weeks behind us we are well on our way to establishing the routines necessary to get into some really good learning opportunities. Teachers have been using these first few weeks to get to know your child and then they are going to use that information to inform our first Learning cycle of the year. We have been impressed with much of the learning that has taken place so far and this gives us the confidence that this year of learning we are embarking on will be a great one.
Over the next few weeks know that we are starting athletics for our students. It will be exciting to see students out wearing Baz gear again representing our school. The first sports that will be available is Cross-Country and Soccer, followed by Basketball in late September. As always we invite familes to come out an support their student athlete, remembering to be fans but not fanatics.
A big reminder that Thursday, September 21, is our school picture day. Students will receive ID cards with these pictures. The card is important as this is how will be how students can access their printing when printing school work. September 21, 2023, is also when our Meet The Teacher Evening happens, between 6:00-7:30 pm. We look forward to seeing parents and guardians, and providing them an opportunity to walk around the building as see it and teachers.
Just a reminder that we continue to limit unscheduled visitors to the school. Schools are closed campuses during the hours of instruction. If you need to connect with a teacher one on one or meet with administration please call the school to book an appointment prior to arriving. If you are meeting your child at the school to pick them up please contact the office and we will call the student down and send them out accordingly.
Lastly, to support communication, we regularly send out messages to families in our Weekly Ian Bazalgette Newsletter. Many of you have likely already seen it in your emails these past two weeks. For those of you not seeing it yet, please subscribe to "School Messages" to recieve updates: Subscribe to CBE Messages.
