This year we have a school community of over 1300 students, all enrolled in our core and extensive option programs. One of the highlights of James Fowler is students having access to modernized Industry-level CTS facilities in a building that is one of the largest in the CBE.
As Principal, my wish is for students to have a memorable and successful year at our wonderful school.
All of our teachers and staff are here to assist students in achieving success, both academically and socially, during their three years at school. Taking full advantage of the many courses, extra-curricular activities, participation on teams, and meeting new friends is a meaningful goal of being a student at James Fowler.
Students, during this school year, make it your priority that you are here to work. Work hard in all of your courses, complete your assignments and assessments and meet the outcomes of your courses. Your teachers will be there for you if you require extra help outside of class time. Excellent attendance and being on time for your classes is an important part of your work at school as your commitment to learning will contribute to your success. Get to know your Assistant Principals, Mr. Zarkovic (Surnames A-K) and Ms. Chippure (Surnames L-Z), as their key role is to support and guide you during your educational journey.
One of the main roles of our school is to prepare you for further education and work opportunities beyond high school. Engage in opportunities to explore many careers that you might be interested in and our teachers and staff will assist you in designing your personal career pathway. Prepare yourself for life-long learning and believe that you will achieve and experience success.
There are many opportunities for you to meet other students and develop new friendships. Become a part of creating a school community that is focused on sharing, giving and looking after each other.
James Fowler is a school for all students and your positive attitude, energy and commitment will continue to makes this school "a great place to learn." Enjoy your year! I look forward to meeting all of you.
Sincerely,
Keith Johnson
