Music Program

Music is an integral part of Janet Johnstone’s students’ weekly program. Having a music specialist provides program continuity. Children are given opportunities to learn through many approaches, but particular emphasis is given to the Orff-Schulwerk method which allows students to become independent musicians as they move through the grades. The music room is well equipped with many instruments making it possible for children to be active players/performers in music activities.
