Parents/Guardians/student/teacher learning conferences provide an opportunity to review a student's progress in learning in relation to the Alberta Programs of Study and/or Individual Program Plans. When students take an active role in learning conferences, they are able to reflect upon and discuss evidence of learning and identify personal strengths, areas for growth and next steps in learning. Parents/Guardians are partners in conversations about progress and what they can do to support their child’s learning. They can also share important information that may contribute to instructional decision-making.
Sharing of students’ progress takes place through meetings with parents at conferences which are scheduled 3 times per year.
