Spring Break

The last day of school before Spring Break is Thursday, March 19th with an early dismissal at 12:20 pm. Students return to classes on Monday, March 30th.

Grad Information

In order to participate in the Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School’s Graduation Ceremony on May 26th, 2020, the student’s name must appear on the Graduation List.  To be on the Graduation List means the student must:

  • Have a solid plan in place to fulfill all the necessary requirements to earn a High School Diploma (100 credits minimum) or a Knowledge and Employability Certificate of High School Completion (80 credits minimum) by August 2020.
  • Paid their $40.00 Grad fee which will be posted in PowerSchool March 30th and must be paid by April 24th. This fee covers the rental of the Stampede Corral, the Ceremony gown rentals and dry cleaning of all gowns
  • Have completed the ‘Are You Ready to Graduate?’ form given out in Raven class in December. 
  • Have good standing and be a positive citizen of JCS.

The initial Graduation List will be available on Thursday, April 2, 2020.  The final Graduation List must be completed by Friday, April 24, 2020.

SSC News

South Health Campus Wellness Centre Courses

The Wellness Centre at the South Health Campus offers free workshops which may be of interest to students.  The next workshop is entitled ‘Interview Skills’.  Youth will learn ways to communicate the skills and abilities they have to offer an employer.  The group will discuss interview questions and complete a mock interview where they will receive constructive feedback on how to improve their interview skills. There are two classes which begin on March 21 and run from 9:00 – 4:00 pm at the South Health Campus Wellness Centre (located on the first floor).  It is free to attend.  To register please go to: www.humanservices.alberta.ca/calgary-workshops.

Lost & Found

Please have students check the lost and found regularly. Smaller lost items such as keys and jewelry are kept in the office. Items not picked up by March 20th will be donated.
