Golf

Golf will meet September 7th @ lunch in the Drama room.  Tryouts are open to males and females.  Email Garry Tink at gctink@cbe.ab.ca if you have questions. 

 

Cross Country

Cross country information meeting to be held September 1st at lunch in the Sports Medicine Room.  Open to all grades.  First practice will be September 7th @ 3:45pm.  No prior experience is necessary and there are no tryouts for this teamCross Country is an excellent opportunity to train for other sports!

 

Girls Soccer

Girls’ soccer tryouts will begin Wednesday, August 31st.  Girls will meet on the field by the student parking lot.  3:45 registration with tryouts beginning at 4:00.  Additional tryouts will be September 1st, September 6th, and September 7th.  Additional call backs will occur September 8th if necessary.  Practice times are M-Th 3:45-5:15 and Friday 1:30 to 2:45.  Season practice schedule will be provided to athletes upon the finalization of the CSHSAA game schedule.  Open to all grades.  Email Coach Calvin Campbell for additional questions cecampbell@cbe.ab.ca

Forms

Athletes will not be allowed to try out if they do not return the Annual Authorization for Athletic Tryout form.  Athletes should bring their form with them to the tryout like they would bring a ticket with them to an event.  Please do not hand in the forms with other school forms.  The form should be delivered directly to the coach of that specific team.  If an athlete plans to try out for more than one team, please fill out a separate form for each team.  You can find the form on our website, the PE office and the Main office.  For more updates, please go to our website or email us at awsandbeck@cbe.ab.ca and mdsalter@cbe.ab.ca.

CSHSAA

Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School is a member of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association. This association has been a governing body for high school sports in Calgary since January 14,1913. The Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) believes that the interscholastic program , as a recognized part of the school program is educationally sound and will enhance the physical, mental, emotional and social development of young people.

 

                                                           

Joane Cardinal-Schubert is also a member of the (Alberta Schools Athletic Association) The ASAA is a voluntary non-profit organization that has been established to coordinate a program of worthwhile athletic activities for the young people of Alberta in an educational setting. The ASAA provides direction in the area of equitable competition and ethical standards for all involved in the provincial high school championships.
