New Student Registration

Registration Process for Canadian Citizens

 Legal Guardians / Parents New to CBE

Legal guardians / parents new to CBE do not have a MyCBE parent account. Therefore, they will:

  1. Create a SchoolEngage account.
  2. Log into SchoolEngage.
  3. Add a student.
  4. Complete the registration form.

Current CBE Legal Guardians / Parents

Legal Guardians with one or more children already registered in CBE, who have created a MyCBE parent account, will access SchoolEngage through their MyCBE account

  1. Log into MyCBE
  2. Click on the SchoolEngage icon in the left menu
  3. Add a student.
  4. Complete the registration form.

Once you have submitted the registration form through SchoolEngage, please do not call the school to confirm. The school will contact you once your child has been admitted to the school. The process of reviewing your registration may take several weeks for those who live within the designated attendance area of the school. Registrations for those living outside of the designated attendance area will be processed between mid-March and June 1, 2022.

Registration Process for Non-Canadian Citizens

If your child (dependent student) is or you (independent student) are not a Canadian citizen, you must contact CBE’s Welcome Centre at 403-817-7789 or welcome@cbe.ab.ca for registration instructions. This includes:

  • Permanent Residents;
  • Refugee Claimants;
  • Children of lawfully admitted temporary residents:
  • Parents/Guardians on work permits; or
  • Parents/Guardians on study permits; or
  • Parent/Guardian is permanent resident or Canadian citizen and their child is not;

Exception: International Fee-Paying Students in Grades 10-12, who are approved by the CBE’s Global Learning Department, contact the high school they were accepted to as per the letter of acceptance for registration information. Do not contact CBE’s Welcome Centre.
