School Supply Lists   

The following is a general list of supplies that will be required by all students at John Ware School. Students are responsible for replacing these items as they are depleted throughout the year. Do ensure everything is labelled.

  • Geometry set (protractor/compass)
  • Binders and Dividers (3)
  • Agenda/Daytimer (optional)
  • Glue Stick
  • Calculator recommended TI 30X  yx and (+/–)
  • Highlighters
  • Scissors
  • Duotangs or Report Covers (some)
  • Pencil crayons
  • Eraser(s)
  • Pencils - box
  • Fine Tipped Black Marker
  • Pencil case
  • Loose-leaf paper - lined
  • Pens – several blue or black ink, red
  • Markers
  • Ruler (metric)

Our teachers post course outlines, homework and parent information on our Desire to Learn webpage (D2L) or Google Classroom. All students and parents have access to D2L and Google Classroom. Many students use this as an organizational tool throughout the school year. We have added the agenda as optional if your child feels more comfortable with this method of organizing themselves before they become proficient at D2L.

Registration Information

Our school office opens on Aug. 29, 2022 for registration.  Please call first to make arrangements to 403-777-7930 x 0.

School Fee Payment

The CBE requests that all fees are paid through MyCBE. If logging on for the first time, you will need your student's CBE ID number, which is the same number they use for logging in to our computer network. For help visit the Technical Support for Students & Parents website or please contact our main office at 403-777-7930 x 0.

​​​Do You Have a MyCBE Account? Have You Added Your Child(ren) To the Account?

Parents / Legal Guardians / Independent Students who have not already done so, must create a MyCBE account and add their child(ren) to the account to:

  • access your child’s program information (e.g., course assessments, daily attendance record, report card)
  • view your child’s learning using Brightspace by D2L
  • pay fees and request waivers
  • register for transportation and lunch ​supervision
  • book parent-teacher conferences
  • submit online school forms (required for 2022-23 school year)

You will need your email address on file at the school as well as your child’s CBE ID, which can be found on the:

  • SchoolEngage student profile, for families that registered their child using SchoolEngage.

  • CBE Report Card, beside the child's name

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.
