There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. For more information on ways to give to CBE, visit Donate on the CBE website.

Fundraisers & Donations

When it comes to fundraising to enhance current school programming and student experiences, the parent council and extended parent community agreed to utilize a one time voluntary contribution approach rather than the traditional door-to-door product sales (popcorn, magazines, etc).   All funds raised through the direct contribution campaign go towards programs and materials for Killarney School and directly benefit the children of Killarney School.  In the past funds raised have gone towards new instruments for the music room, an improved technology lab, new Montessori material, artists-in-residents, etc.   The annual fundraising campaign maximizes the funds raised to enhance our student’s learning.

The Killarney Parent Fundraising Society (KPFS) raises money to enrich Montessori education at Killarney School in Calgary, Alberta.

Killarney School is an elementary school (K-6) that is part of the publicly-funded school system under the Calgary Board of Education (CBE). KPFS invests in projects and initiatives above and beyond the base Montessori program costs, which are fully covered by the CBE.

Killarney Parent Fundraising Society invests in materials and initiatives that enrich the learning environment for our children at Killarney School.  We strive to be a model example of a public Montessori school; where a community of students, parents and teachers work together to create an enviroment in which each child may explore & discover their world.

Please visit the Killarney School Council website for more information.
