Learning Commons at the CBE

Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.

Our Learning Commons

We believe that the school library program is essential in assisting students in becoming lifelong learners. We provide a warm inviting learning area where students can interact with different forms of literature, use our computer lab and pursue their individual interests.

The library is a regularly scheduled teaching space and used for class book exchanges, research activities and instruction. Students are encouraged to take books home from our library. Please encourage responsibility by reminding your child to care for the books and return them on time. Replacement fees will be charged for any unreturned/lost books from our Library or Home Reading collection.

Borrowing Rules

Students have access to the book exchange once a week, when they may borrow up to two books at a time.
