Attendance

Regular and prompt attendance promotes habits which are important to their success at school, as well as serving them well throughout their life. If your child is unable to attend school for any reason, parents inform the school before 8:15 AM about their child’s absence. Please leave a message on the answering machine or send us an email indicating your child’s name, classroom teacher, grade, the reason for the absence, bus letter (if applicable) and the expected length of absence.

If your child will be late for any reason, a message should be left before 8:15 AM at the above telephone number or email address. Alternatively, a note outlining the absence/late can be sent in advance.

All K – 6 students who arrive at school after the entry bell are to report to the school office to receive a late slip before proceeding to their classroom, even if you called to let us know.

Parents of students who are regularly late or absent will be contacted to resolve the concern
