We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are part of the universe and are connected with each other to form one whole unity. Maria Montessori
This year staff and students made beautiful connections to new spaces, new ideas, and to one another. One incredible connection was to our Artist in Residence, Sharon Fortowsky. Students connected curriculum to art through projects that will remain as a legacy in our garden, our hallways, and our hearts. The connections we nourished helped us to focus on being active citizens that show care for others. As you reflect on the experiences of this year, celebrate how we cared for ourselves, others and our place. Some of these memories are ARCS dog and cat treat fundraising, City Hall School experiences, food drive, Outdoor School, tending to our garden, grandfriend connections, knitting club, advocating for new basketball hoops, Tea Time Tuesday, FiNS, and Be Brave. This year we also celebrated getting a NEW logo, a new gym floor and freshly painted walls.
The great thing about the connections we have made is that they are long lasting. For staff and students who might be on to new schools, we wish you the best in your next chapter. We hope you look back at your time at Lake Bonavista School with fond memories.
With gratitude,
Jennifer Rooke
